Emmanuel Baptist Church is a friendly, welcoming Baptist Church situated in the heart of the lively Cornish harbour town of Falmouth.
On a Sunday morning you will find all age ranges represented in our 200-strong congregation and during the week you will find the building buzzing almost all day every day with various church and community groups using the building.
Emmanuel Baptist Church is led by a team of Godly leaders, made up of the Pastor, a team of Elders and a team of Deacons.
The Pastor and Elders provide spiritual oversight, direction and general leadership whilst the Deacons are responsible for the day-to-day administration and organisation of the church.
Our practice in recent years has been to appoint Deacons for designated areas of the Church life: finance, property, pastoral visiting, children, worship, etc.
The Pastor and Elders usually meet weekly and the Pastor, Elders and Deacons usually meet once a month. The role of Elder and of Deacon are open to both men and women.
What do we believe as a Church? That’s a big question, but there are certain fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith without which the organisation cannot be said to be a true Church.
