Worship at EBC

At Emmanuel we are part of the body of Christ where people of every age are understood to be equally important & valued in the worship life of the Church. Our expressions of worship include music, prayer, poetry, dance and drama.

'Hallelujah! It’s a good thing to sing praise to our God; Praise is beautiful, Praise is fitting.'Psalm 147:1 (The Message)

We are blessed to have a number of gifted leaders and musicians that contribute to the variety of worship, bringing to our services songs old and new, sourcing worship material from around the world.

If you are a regular attendee at EBC and would like to be involved in Worship please get in contact with our Worship Deacon Alison.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. Colossian 3:15-16 (NIV)

FAQs

Am I expected to take part in the service?

You’re welcome to take part as much or as little as you like. If you’re uncomfortable with standing and joining in the worship then please feel free to stay seated.

If you’d rather not take part in communion – you’re not required to and we’d like you to feel at home.

What is EBC’s worship like?

Our worship can vary each week depending on the nature of the service and how the holy spirit leads the worship leader.

Our worship is relaxed and accessible to all. As a family church we use hymns, contemporary worship songs and the occasional children’s worship song.

Can anyone take communion?

Our communion is open to all who know the Lord . We don’t take communion every week.
