Sunday Morning Services

Our Sunday Church services are a relaxed time of worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship that are open to all who would like to join us.

This morning we are back in the building!

We’re constantly monitoring the situation in Falmouth, but for the moment the guidance for attending on a Sunday morning as of September 5th is:

1. If possible, please take a lateral flow test on the Sunday morning before attending the service. If you are feeling in any way unwell or showing symptoms, please do not attend.
2. We ask that you wear a mask at all times when inside the building.

3. Please use the hand sanitiser provided as you enter the building.

4. If you wish to socially distance during the service, the gallery will be set aside for a maximum of 12 people.

5. We will ensure good ventilation with the doors and windows remaining open throughout the service. Please dress accordingly as it may be a little draughty!

Please note that at this time there will be no refreshments served before or after the service.

The leadership are always reviewing local guidance and feedback from the fellowship, so watch this space over the coming weeks for any further update…

A few questions you might have..

How long is your service?

Our services are roughly an hour and a half long. We have an half an hour to 40 minutes of worship and family time. The young people then go out to their children’s groups and there is a 20-25 minute sermon.

What is the accessibility like at EBC

EBC is a reasonably old building, but we’ve tried to make it as accessible as possible. We have a wheelchair lift to help with access from the main worship space to our sports hall and other rooms. We have a hearing loop and large printed words for our times of worship. We also have baby changing, a disabled toilet and disabled car parking spaces. If you’d like any further information please don’t hesitate to get in contact with the church office.

What will happen when I come for the first time?

We have a welcome team that will greet you at the doors as you enter the main foyer. From here we serve teas and coffees. You are welcome to take this with you into the main worship space where you can take any seat!

Is there a dress code on a Sunday morning?

The short answer is no. Whilst we’d like you to feel comfortable, we also ask you to remember that EBC is a place of worship and a family church.

Am I expected to take part in the service?

You’re welcome to take part as much or as little as you like. If you’re uncomfortable with standing and joining in the worship then please feel free to stay seated. If you’d rather not take part in communion – you’re not required to and we’d like you to feel at home.

What happens when the service is finished?

After the service we ask parents to collect their children from their groups. We also invite you to join us for a tea or coffee in the foyer and stay for a chat. If you’d prefer to disappear as soon as the service finishes, you’re of course welcome to, but we’d like to get to know you.
