Support for our Community together with Christians Against Poverty

At Emmanuel, we are proud to offer a number of services that support our community, running these in partnership with award-winning national charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP). All of these services are provided free of charge and are open to all – people of any faith and none.

CAP Jobs Club

Our Job Club is part of a network of some 150 CAP Job Clubs across the UK. It’s a friendly place where you will get practical help as you seek employment, have the chance to meet other jobseekers, get support and gain the tools you need to find work.

CAP Job Clubs have a national partnership with The Department of Work and Pensions. This agreement recognises the invaluable service that Job Clubs offer to overcome major barriers to employment.

Our friendly local team include people who have years of experience in recruitment, have been trained to provide 1:1 coaching and those who will welcome you and provide support as you work your way through the course.

We opened in February 2020. Although the coronavirus lockdown meant that we were unable to complete our first course, nevertheless we helped 2 of our members to find employment. During lockdown, we have been providing online help to people like Lauren who is discovering her strengths so that she can write her cv.
