We believe that every Christian is called to be a witness to their faith. We therefore encourage every member of the Fellowship to pray for, prepare for, to seek and to take the opportunities given by the Holy Spirit to share personally their faith.
As well as encouraging individual witnessing, we regularly run courses to which members of Emmanuel can invite their as yet unbelieving friends to find out more about the Christian faith.
Alpha and exploring Christianity courses are run on a regular basis and both have proved successful. Our Pastor also runs on occasions a “Grill the Pastor” evenings. These are informal evenings usually in a six week block when anyone can attend and ask any questions on religious, ethical or moral subjects. They have proved to be very entertaining and vibrant evenings.
We operate a café in the front foyer of the Church three mornings a week and this is a space where anyone can come for a chat, a game of chess, or on occasions to learn a new craft as well, of course, as to drink tea and coffee.
